Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has declared his unwavering support for the Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid.
This was disclosed by Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, in a terse statement on Tuesday.
Akosile wrote:
“Breaking: Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, endorses Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for second term in office. Details later”.
The aggrieved governor dumped Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the Lagos State gubernatorial candidate of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to endorse support Sanwo-olu.
Wike, who failed to clinch the PDP’s presidential ticket refused thereafter to be a member of Atiku’s campaign team. He has thus far been dragging the PDP in the mud with his actions and reducing the party’s chances of having a good outing the polls come 2023
