Nigerian striker Victor Boniface is set to earn a staggering €15 million or ₦23.8 billion net of taxes per season after securing a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
This lucrative deal makes him Nigeria’s highest paid footballer.
According to Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Al Nassr and Bayer Leverkusen have reached a final agreement on a transfer fee exceeding €60 million for the 24-year-old forward.
A verbal agreement is reported to be already in place, and Boniface has passed his medical with the Saudi Pro League side. The transfer is expected to be confirmed soon.
Boniface’s move to Al Nassr is seen as a strategic effort by the club to strengthen their attack.
This comes after Anderson Talisca’s move to Fenerbahçe, leaving a gap in Al Nassr’s attacking lineup.
