Rebekah Vardy revealed that she is “quite enjoying” ‘Wagatha Christie’ rival Coleen Rooney in ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle and has “no issues” with her.
Vardy, known for her infamous legal battle with Rooney, has stated that she has no resentment towards Rooney’s participation in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
The “Wagatha Christie” drama became a cultural phenomenon when Rooney accused Vardy of leaking private stories about her to The Sun.
In a viral social media post, Rooney famously outlined how she uncovered the alleged betrayal, earning her the nickname “Wagatha Christie.”
The dispute culminated in a high-profile High Court trial in July 2022, where the judge ruled in Rooney’s favour, stating that her claims were “substantially true.”
Vardy, who previously appeared on the reality show herself, has dismissed speculation that Rooney’s involvement might bother her.
Married to Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, Rebekah has remained vocal about not being fazed by her former rival’s actions.
However, writing a column for The Sun about this year’s I’m A Celebrity series, Vardy hasn’t held back her amusement at some of Rooney’s struggles in the jungle.
Reflecting on moments where Rooney fell into the river during trials, Vardy described it as “the gift that keeps on giving.”
“Why would I be uncomfortable with Coleen?” Vardy said, as per MyLondon.
“The general consensus is that I have a real issue with her being on a show that I’ve done.
“I couldn’t care less. I have no issues whatsoever. I’m actually quite enjoying it.”
