Raphael Varane sent out a strong supportive message for Vinicius Junior after the Brazilian broke down in tears during a press conference.
On Monday, the Real Madrid star was addressing a press conference when he suddenly broke into tears after being asked about the constant racism he has faced in Spain.
Now, Manchester United defender and Vinicius’ former team-mate Varane has backed the Brazilian by sharing a strong message on social media.
Taking to X, Varane wrote: “You are powerful. You are special @vinijr.
“Your dreams and inspiration are stronger than any words that can ever be used against you”.
Since moving to Spain in 2018, the winger has had to face countless racist attacks from rival fans and in some cases from leading figures within Spanish football and the media.

It has certainly taken a toll on the 23-year-old.
The Los Blancos player will be next seen in action on Tuesday at Real’s home Santiago Bernabeu stadium as Spain host Brazil in an international friendly.
