Universal Pictures has released the trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh film in the iconic Jurassic Park franchise, which celebrates its 31st anniversary.
The film is set to hit theatre on July 2, 2025.
Set five years after Jurassic World Dominion, Jurassic World Rebirth follows an expedition into isolated equatorial regions to extract DNA from three massive prehistoric creatures for a groundbreaking medical breakthrough.
Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert leading the expedition.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film is based on a script by Michael Crichton and David Koepp.
The project is produced by Patrick Crowley and Frank Marshall, with Steven Spielberg serving as executive producer.
Spielberg, who directed Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, has previously held executive producer roles on several franchise films, including Jurassic Park III, Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Jurassic World: Dominion.
Filming for Jurassic World Rebirth took place in select locations across Thailand, London, and California.
The studio also released a first look at the film in August, building anticipation ahead of its theatrical release. John Mathieson is the cinematographer for the upcoming blockbuster.
