Ukrainian Agricultural Exports Expected To Rise To 4 Million Tonnes In Aug

Deputy chair of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council, Denys Marchuk, has announced that Ukraine’s agricultural exports are expected to rise to around 4 million tonnes in August from 3 million tonnes in July thanks to a United Nations-brokered agreement that unblocked Ukrainian seaports.

Marchuk, whose organization represents agricultural producers, said despite new export opportunities Ukrainian farmers would still face a shortage of funds and a third of them would refuse the 2022/23 winter grain sowing which is due to start later this month.

He made this remark while speaking during a televised briefing on Monday
