World record holder in 100 metres hurdles, Tobi Amusan, has been added to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Hall of Fame, making history as the youngest female track athlete so inducted.
Amusan’s illustrious collegiate career at UTEP between 2016 and 2017 set the stage for her global success.
She was an NCAA champion in the 100m hurdles, a three-time All-American, and a five-time Conference USA champion, setting school records in both the indoor 60m hurdles (7.98 seconds) and outdoor 100m hurdles (12.57 seconds).
The recognition makes Amusan the third Nigerian track athlete inducted into UTEP’s Hall of Fame, following in the footsteps of Olapade Adenekan and Blessing Okagbare.
