Tiwa Savage has become the latest artiste to clash with Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as “Wizkid FC,” over what she describes as online bullying.
The controversy began on 15 November 2024, after Ruger released his new single, Toma Toma, featuring Tiwa Savage.
Sharing the song on her Instagram page, Tiwa captioned it, “Told y’all this one is special. The @rugerofficial called, and I answered.”
In response, a Wizkid fan commented, “Dey play, nothing special pass Wizzy hits.”
The remark did not sit well with Tiwa, who replied, “Because I am promoting music? WTF… Y’all are not fans anymore ooo, you guys are actual bullies.”
This incident adds to the growing list of Nigerian artistes who have had public disputes with Wizkid FC.
The fanbase has gained a reputation for aggressively defending Wizkid while targeting other artists perceived as rivals.
Recently, Wizkid FC has been in an ongoing feud with Skales, repeatedly criticising the artist for his claims of writing songs for Wizkid during their time at Banky W’s EME label.
Burna Boy and Davido, along with their respective fanbases, have also had heated exchanges with Wizkid FC, primarily over debates on who holds the title of the biggest Nigerian music star.
