President Bola Tinubu’s request to appoint 20 special advisers has been granted by the Senate.
On Tuesday, Senate President Ahmad Lawan read the president’s request aloud on the floor of the upper legislative body.

The president did not reveal the identities of the 20 special advisers in his request.
However, after reading the letter, the Senate granted the proposal.
This is the first document that President Tinubu has sent to the senate for approval.
He was sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th President on May 29, 2023.
