Tems has become the Nigerian female artist with the most streams on Spotify in one day.
Her new album, “Born In The Wild”, helped her achieve this record with 8 million streams on June 7, 2024.
Tems’ album had 5.33 million streams on its first day, making her second only to Ayra Starr, who had 6.3 million streams on the first day of her album “The Year I Turned 21”.
Tems has been rising fast in the music industry since her hit song “Essence” with Wizkid in 2021.
Her new album has 18 tracks, including collaborations with Asake and J Cole.
Before the album release, Tems dropped two singles, “Me & U” and “Love Me Jeje”, which have been streamed over 131 million times. Tems has won many awards, including a Grammy and an Oscar nomination.
