Forbes has unveiled its 2024 list of the world’s most powerful women, featuring music icons Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Rihanna. The annual ranking highlights their immense influence across entertainment, business, and culture.
Taylor Swift leads as the highest-ranking musician, placed at No. 23. With an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion, Forbes credited her record-breaking Eras Tour, valued musical catalogue worth $600 million, and her influence on U.S. Congress as key factors for her position.
Beyoncé ranks No. 35 for her music legacy, 32 Grammy wins, and 2024 Cécred haircare launch. Rihanna, worth $1.4 billion, follows at No. 76 with her Fenty empire.
The 2024 Power Women list also includes Oprah Winfrey and Indiana Fever basketball star Caitlin Clark.
According to Forbes, the list is determined using metrics such as money, media presence, impact, and spheres of influence. Collectively, the 100 women on the list command $33 trillion in economic power and influence over 1 billion people globally.
This recognition coincides with other celebrations of the trio’s impact, including Billboard’s “Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century” series, which ranked Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna as the top three.
The honours come as their cultural influence remains at an all-time high. Taylor Swift recently concluded her two-year Eras Tour, Beyoncé is set to headline the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans Christmas Day game halftime show, and Rihanna continues to expand her Fenty empire.
