Popular streaming app, Spotify has taken down hit song, Ameno Amapiano Remix ( Chill with the big boys) due to copyright and licencing issues.
The popular jam which has taken over all social media apps was done by Nigerian hypeman, Goya Menor and Ghanaian record producer, Nektunez who used a track from the classical ‘Ameno’ track owned by Era.
However, the owners of the song were contacted owing to the fact that Menor’s version has lyrics of the original song in it and thay have to give consent before the song will be used.
Apparently, the owners of the original version didn’t give their consent which prompted the streaming app to take down the song.
Amapiano remix received a massive boost owing to viral TikTok challenges and has subsequently turned out to be one of the most played by Nigerians at the moment.
