Nigerian Politician and actress Regina Daniel’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, on February 5, formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Nwoko was elected into the Senate in 2023 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP).
Nwoko’s letter of defection to the ruling party was read on the floor of the Senate by the Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary.

In the letter, Nwoko attributed his action to the crisis rocking the PDP in Delta state.
