Pogba was handed a four-year ban for a doping offence in February, but that was reduced to 18 months after the French midfielder appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

According to CAS, Pogba didn’t intend to ingest the banned substance DHEA.

He has been cleared to resume his football career in March 2025.

Although it’s expected he will shortly leave current club Juventus.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Pogba and Juventus are expected to agree to terminate his contract, which runs until 2026, meaning he will become a free agent.

While there has been talk of Pogba heading to MLS, journalist Malick Traore claims the 31-year-old is in advanced discussions over a move to Marseille.

The two parties have reportedly been in talks for several weeks and Pogba could sign for the Ligue 1 side in January, when he is allowed to begin training again.

Pogba’s compatriot and friend Patrice Evra has already pushed for Marseille to sign the midfielder.

A move to the Stade Velodrome would see him reunite with former Manchester United team-mate Mason Greenwood.
