The tragic demise of the son of Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, who died in a road crash barely 24 hours after the Governor’s mother died of an illness has brought visitors and sympathizers to jigawa State.
Notable among the sympathizers is Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election.
It was on Thursday, December 2, Obi brought this development to public notice.
According to him, he visited Jigawa to commiserate with Governor Namadi over the loss of his son and mother.
Speaking via an X post, Obi said he paid a solidarity visit to Namadi while on his New Year engagements.
Peter Obi also prayed that God would grant Governor Namadi and his family the strength and solace to endure this difficult period and find comfort in the love and support of those around them.
He wrote: “In continuation of my New Year engagements, I visited Jigawa State to commiserate with and stand in solidarity with my brother, the Governor, His Excellency Mallam Umar A. Namadi, during this difficult time as he mourns the painful loss of both his mother and his son. My thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and the people of Jigawa as they navigate this profound grief.
