For many people, the new year is all about them and their new year resolutions, but for Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), this is the time to table national issues for solutions.
Now, the former Anambra Governor has taken out time to visit political elites and stakeholders that can help solve these issues the country is battling with.
One of such visit took place on Wednesday.
That day, Peter Obi paid visits to former military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida and former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
Before the dust this visit raised could settle, Obi was seen at the residence of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
“Abi campaign don start?,” many Nigerians whispered.
However, to the Labour Party chieftain, the visits were to felicitate with the political leaders on the New Year and exchange thoughts on national issues.
In his visit to the first president of the country’s fourth republic on Thursday, Obi described Obasanjo as one of the leaders under whom the nation saw tremendous growth.
Voice Of Wisdom
His words: “President Obasanjo remains one of the leaders under whom our nation saw tremendous growth. To date, he continues to add his voice of wisdom to solving the many challenges facing us as a nation. I wish him and his family abundant health and happiness in the new year and beyond as he continues to contribute to our national development.”
