Panic As UNN Discovers Lifeless Body Of First-year Student In Campus Drainage

It was a Black Friday in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) as the lifeless body of a first-year student of the institution was decovered in a drainage.

This tragic incident has left the school management in shock, and students in panic.

However, the management of the institution confirmed the tragic passing of the first-year student.

The university recounted how her lifeless body was found in a drainage on Friday, July 5.

The deceased was identified as Favour Okenyi.

She was a student of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.

Okenyi was found dead in a drainage near Akanu Ibiam Stadium, UNN.

The Evil Act

Meanwhile, the university’s Acting Public Relations Officer, Chief Okwun Omeaku, spoke via a statement on Sunday.

Omeaku appealed to the public to help with useful information that would aid investigations and fish out perpetrator/s of the evil act.

Omeaku said that the university community was shocked by the unfortunate death of the first year student.

Via the statement, UNN condoled the deceased family.

Collaboration

They revealed that they are collaborating with security agencies and the family of the deceased.

The aim is to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death to prevent any recurrence.

“The University Community was shocked on Friday, July 5, by the distressing discovery of a lifeless body found in a drainage near Akanu Ibiam Stadium, UNN.

“The University administration is deeply saddened by the loss of our student and extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased for the tragic death of such a promising young student.

“The management is collaborating with security agencies and the family of the deceased to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death and in order prevent any potential recurrence of such incidents in the future,” the statement read.
