While many people took to the internet to hail the former First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan, as a better First Lady over Oluremi Tinubu, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was busy making other plans.
As we speak, the Ooni of Ife has unveiled a golden statue in Osun State in honour of Oluremi Tinubu.
The golden statue was unveiled at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State.
The Ooni of Ife also contributed a 2.7km Senator Oluremi Tinubu Way, a magnificent pavilion with the monument erected at the Obafemi Awolowo varsity grounds, all named in recognition of Mrs Tinubu.
Speaking during the unveiling, the monarch lauded Tinubu’s exemplary leadership, commitment to education, advocacy for women’s empowerment, and efforts towards fostering national unity.

His words: “A golden statue is erected to immortalise her virtuous personality and to showcase the strength of a teacher, mother, and wife at the very heart of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
“The biggest hostel and pavilion in the history of Obafemi Awolowo University, which bears her name, represent her efforts to create spaces for learning, development, and empowerment for all.”
