Brazil legend Neymar Jr. has reportedly agreed to take a massive paycut to seal his return to his boyhood club Santos from Al-Hilal.
Neymar is set to seal his return to his boyhood club Santos in Brazil this month and put an end to his horror spell at Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
The Brazil captain joined the Middle East side in the summer of 2023 but has seen injuries ruin his stint at the club as he has only played seven games in a year and a half in Saudi Arabia.
It is still unclear how Neymar’s move to Santos will be facilitated as he still has six months left on his contract with Al-Hilal.
However, the two options that stand in front of the former Barcelona man remain: terminating his contract with the Saudi Pro League champions or a loan move to Brazil.
As per Footmercato, Neymar has accepted a massive pay cut to facilitate his move to Santos this month, and his contract situation at Al-Hilal remains the only obstacle blocking his move.

However, Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus has given up on Neymar and has already revealed he will not be registered for the second half of the Saudi Pro League season.
As such, a return to Santos this January is likely to go through sooner rather than later.
