Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, says his life took a significant turn for the better since his son’s passing.
In an interview with media personality Akin Abolade, Aloba attributed the positive changes in his life to divine intervention and the spirit of his late son.
Reflecting on the unfulfilled plans Mohbad had for him, Aloba shared that the singer had intended to provide substantial support before his untimely death.
“Let me just say yes, my life got better after Mohbad’s death because he is my friend,” Aloba said.
“He had plans to do many things for me, but they didn’t allow him to fulfill them. After his death, it was the spirit of Mohbad and that of God combined together that began to send people to assist me.”
Aloba disclosed that since Mohbad’s death, he had received significant support from well-wishers, including the gift of a car and other essential items.
Also, he described these gestures as extraordinary and credited them to the influence of his son’s spirit and divine guidance.
“Even the car and everything I have now, it was people that gave them to me, and it is beyond ordinary. It is the spirit of Mohbad and God that led those people to give me all I have now,” he explained.
Aloba expressed gratitude for the support.

Also, he emphasises that the assistance he had received aligned with what his son had intended to do for him in life.
Mohbad, a rising star in Nigeria’s music industry, tragically passed away in September of 2023. The cause of his death remains unknown, with autopsy result not clear about what caused his death.
