The Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt has upheld a ₦5 million fine against Daddy Freeze.
Daddy Freeze is a popular Nigerian On-Air Personality.
Basically, the fine is for committing adultery with Benedicta Elechi, who was married to Paul Odekina.
The original ruling by a High Court in Port Harcourt on February 18, 2021, ordered the OAP to pay damages to Paul Odekina.
This is for depriving him of his wife’s companionship and causing him injury due to adultery.
Daddy Freeze appealed the decision, arguing that he was not properly served with court papers.
However, the appellate court, composed of Justices Abubakar Talba, Danlami Senchi, and Hannatu Balogun, dismissed his appeal on the grounds of procedural errors.
They ruled that he did not follow proper legal procedures to challenge the service of court documents and the original judgment.

This failure undermined Daddy Freeze’s appeal, leading to its dismissal.
The appellate court affirmed the High Court’s decision, maintaining the ₦5million fine against Daddy Freeze.
And also the dissolution of Paul Odekina’s marriage with Benedicta Elechi.
Legal representatives Ola Faro and Ikobah Hilton appeared for Daddy Freeze, while N.A. Naenwi and Wilcox Abereton (SAN) represented Paul Odekina and Benedicta Elechi respectively.
