The four Staff Unions of the Lagos State University, Ojo, have today staged a protest against resumption of academic activities on campus as instructed by the Lagos State Government.
The protesting workers locked out Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagboun, and students to prevent them gaining access to commence learning activities.
Involved in the protest are the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Non-Academic Staff Union, and the National Association of Academic Technologists.

The protest which began as early as 7am, was gathered to have been motivated by the non-payment of the salary increment promised them by the Lagos State Government over a year ago.
Efforts by Fagboun to calm he protesting workers fell on deaf ears as they refused to budge.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had announced the resumption of Lagos State institutions on September 14, but it is gathered that similar protests are being held at other institutions across the state.
