President Muhammadu Buhari, through the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has approved 67 new broadcast licenses.
The Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Malam Balarabe Shehu Ilejah disclosed this on Thursday during a briefing in Abuja.
Balarabe said a Central Monitoring Committee has been set up with the aim of providing rapid response to unethical practices.

The NBC boss further appealed to broadcast stations who were yet to settle their outstanding dues to do so.

At the moment, the total number of functional broadcast stations in Nigeria rise is put at 740.
