The death of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States of America (USA) is still whipping up reactions, with the latest coming from Peter Obi, a former Labour Party presidential candidate.
Indeed, many people have a lot to say about Carter, but for Obi, what he will not forget in a hurry was Carter’s relentless advocate for justice and human rights worldwide.
The former Anambra Governor walked down memory lane on Monday, recounting how the former President was instrumental in the fight against Guinea Worm and River Blindness in Africa.
Obi, in his statement, echoed Carter’s belief in democracy and justice, particularly, his support to freedom and equality in the world.
