Former celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially settled their divorce, just five months after their surprising split.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2022, will end their marriage on February 20, with each retaining the assets they individually acquired during their brief union.
Lopez, and Affleck, have also reached an agreement regarding their $61 million Beverly Hills mansion, though the details of the settlement remain private.
The couple, whose combined wealth is estimated at $550 million—$400 million of which is attributed to Lopez did not sign a prenuptial agreement before their marriage.
They initially wed on July 16, 2022, at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, followed by a second ceremony at Affleck’s estate in Savannah, Georgia, on August 20, 2022.
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding, citing April 26, 2024, as their official separation date.
Affleck will retain his stake in the production company Artists Equity, which he co-founded with longtime friend Matt Damon in 2022.
The company is behind films like Air, The Accountant Part 2, and Unstoppable. During their marriage, Lopez worked on projects including Shotgun Wedding, This Is Me… Now, and The Mother.
Mediated by celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, the settlement reveals that Lopez will drop “Affleck” from her name and return to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
