Unidentified assassins, on Saturday, murdered the Chief Provost of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Okiemute Mrere, in Imo State.
Mrere’s body was discovered on Sunday morning in a bush.
Reports say he was murdered on Owerri-Port Harcourt road in Owerri, and later dumped in the bush by his assailants.
The Hilux van he rode in, belonging to the NIS, was riddled with bullet holes.
