When Bola Tinubu, during one of his campaign rallies in Edo State, promised that internet fraudsters popularly known as ‘yahoo boys’ would benefit greatly from his election, many thought it was just one of those campaign promises that never came true.
But guess what?
Tinubu kept his promise.
You want to know how?
Relax, in no time, you’ll see things from a very different perspective.
Indeed, Tinubu’s regime is not favourable to many, but you see people who earn in dollars? This is for sure their best.
Now, guess who cashes out in dollar?
Yahoo Boys, yes, you are very correct.
The then APC bannerman had stormed Edo state, Benin’s capital on January 5, 2023, just before the elections.
As the party’s song blasted through the heavy speakers, Jagaban danced through the crowd.
With the mic stationed before him, he shared what he intended to do.
“We will turn the so-called Yahoo Boys into experts at the manufacturing of chips. If you want prosperity, elect me, you want skill to become rich, elect me,” Tinubu screamed.
He was eventually elected, and trust Jagaban, he did more than he promised.
Dollar became gold.
It has gotten to a point where freelancers are dumping Nigerian firms for foreign companies all in the chase for dollar.

Now, everybody just wants to earn in dollar.
At this point, Yahoo Boys will only be smiling and saying “Thank you Jagaban”, because they are the only people that automatically earn in dollar.
