How Mother Of Four Died While Fetching Water In Abuja

An ugly incident occurred in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Thursday, June 6.

A 32-year-old housewife, Mrs. Maimuna Aliyu, slipped and died while fetching rainwater inside Bako village in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday, June 6.

A neighbour who identified himself as Usman reported that the incident happened around 8:12 a.m.

According to Usman, while it rained heavily, the mother of four carried a basin to fetch water but missed her step and slipped.

He said the woman’s husband had left for the farm alongside two of her children when the incident happened.

Also, he said the woman was unconscious when she was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, she was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

However, the FCT police command is yet to comment on the incident.
