Burna Boy may be one of the biggest artists in Africa and perhaps, the world, but for his colleague, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, Burna wouldn’t be where he is if not for just one thing, a collaboration with him.
It was during a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, that Skales spoke.
He recounted how he inspired Burna Boy at some point in his career.
According to Skales, the Port Harcourt-born singer had no hit song before he featured on ‘Temper Remix’ in 2017.

He maintained Burna Boy has also inspired him over the years, adding that the essence of collaboration is to support and promote each other.
Skales’ claim has sparked huge controversy on social media as Nigerians, critics, and music lovers rush to share their views.
Many have tackled the singer over this claim insisting that the said collaboration was not heard.
To many others, he just wants to chase clout with Burna’s name.
