Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt appreciation to the artists and residents who contributed to the resounding success of the #GreaterLagosCountdown2025 event.
In a statement released on Wednesday following the New Year countdown, the governor praised the performers who graced the stage.
He said: “A heartfelt thank you to the incredible artists who honoured Lagos’ call to perform and made the night unforgettable—Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Olamide, Seyi Vibez, and many more.
“Your talent and passion lit up the stage and brought joy to every corner of Lagos. Last night, Lagos came alive in a way that only Lagos can!”.
Sanwo-Olu also commended the people of Lagos for their unity and vibrant spirit during the celebrations.
Also, he noted that the collective energy and pride displayed by residents truly embodied the essence of the city.
“Thank you for showing the world the true Lagos spirit,” he said. “It was a celebration like no other. Lagos is home. Together, we ushered in 2025 with unmatched energy and pride.”
