He took a heavy blow to the chest earlier in the game, before eventually being forced off with a thigh problem.

Scans have shown no muscular damage, according to Standard Sport, with the 25-year-old having been spotted applying ice to that area following his substitution.

As a result, Gabriel was able to take part in training on Sunday alongside the rest of his international colleagues.

Gabriel is now expected to start for Brazil when they face Peru in another 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
