Paulo Fonseca has admitted he is set to be sacked as AC Milan head coach, and reports suggest his successor is already lined up.
Milan were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Roma on Sunday, a result that left them eighth in Serie A.
Despite initially saying he had “no signal” to suggest he would not be in charge for their next match, he later told reporters as he left the San Siro in his car that he had indeed parted ways with the Italian giants.
It looks to be all change for Christian Pulisic and his team-mates.
After the draw, Fonseca told reporters: “I have no signal to suggest otherwise.
“I will go home now, spend time with my family and be back ready to work tomorrow.”
The former Lille boss later added: “Yes. I left Milan. That’s life, that’s how it is.
“I have a clear conscience, I did everything I could do.”
Fonseca only joined Milan six months or so ago and despite largely impressing in the Champions League this season, with the Rossoneri currently 12th out of 36 teams, they are 14 points behind league leaders Atalanta in Serie A.
Reports in Italy state ex-Porto manager Sergio Conceicao – who had a spell with Inter in his playing days – will replace him imminently.

It appears to be just a matter of time before Milan release a statement on Fonseca’s departure.
It remains to be seen if Conceicao will be in charge for Milan’s Supercoppa Italiana semi-final away to Juventus on January 3.
