A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, stated that Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade, after thorough consultations and divinations, has been recommended by the Oyomesi and approved by the Governor of Oyo State.

Here are five things to know about Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the New Alaafin of Oyo:

1.  Entrepreneur and Philanthropist

Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade is a Nigerian-Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Also, he serves as the president of 100279 Manitoba Limited, a successful real estate investment and financial services company based in Manitoba, Canada.

2.  Royal Heritage

Born in 1978, Prince Owoade hails from the prominent Owoade-Agunloye royal family in Oyo town.

Also, he is a direct descendant of Aremo Aderounmu Iyanda Owoade from the Agure Compound in Oyo, Nigeria.

3. Legacy of Leadership

He is one of the surviving children of Pa Rasaki Ibiyosi Owoade, a respected figure in Oyo’s royal lineage, further cementing his deep-rooted connection to the throne and the cultural traditions of the kingdom.

4. Diverse Career Path

Prince Owoade worked as a Planning Engineer at Oil Reach Company in Glasgow, United Kingdom, before relocating to Canada in pursuit of greater opportunities.
