Meanwhile, President of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), Matthew Ibitoye, called for an urgent review of the outdated Survey Coordination Act of 1962.

“We must amend the Act to align with global best practices,” Ibitoye urged, reaffirming NIS’s commitment to advancing the profession.

Finally, Director of Survey Coordination, Semiu Ayinde, outlined the conference’s goals, including improving data quality, addressing survey coordination challenges, and fostering collaboration to meet the demands of the 21st century.
