The Federal Government has decided to extend the public holiday for Eid-El-Fitr celebration to Thursday, April 11, 2024.
The holiday was originally set for Tuesday and Wednesday.
However, since the crescent moon was not sighted in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, Eid will now be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
As a result, the Federal Government has added Thursday, April 11th, 2024, as an extra public holiday.
This announcement was made by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, in a statement on Tuesday.
