Nollywood actress and producer Funke Akindele’s movie “Everybody Loves Jenifa”, has become the highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, surpassing N1.4 billion at the box office.
FilmOne Entertainment announced the achievement on Instagram, hailing it as a massive win for Nollywood.
The film’s success is a testament to the power of Nollywood and the dedication of its fans. As FilmOne Entertainment noted, “Record Breaker, thank you to our incredible audience in Nigeria and Ghana for making this dream a reality.”
This achievement is all the more impressive given that Funke Akindele’s previous film, “A Tribe Called Judah”, also grossed over N1 billion last year.
Everybody Loves Jenifa boasts an impressive cast, including Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Patience Ozokwor, and Falz, among others.
Reacting to the news, Funke Akindele shared her excitement on Instagram, saying “Oya carry me go to 2 BILLION”, as she sets her sights on the next milestone.
