Eleven persons have reportedly died in an auto crash in Ondo, on Sunday.
Victims were reportedly burnt beyond recognition in the crash that occurred at Soka Bridge in Ore, Odigbo council area of the state.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the accident involved a trailer and a Marcopollo bus.
“The trailer passed through one way and in the process collided with the Marcopollo bus which was coming from the Benin highway”, a report disclosed.

Confirming the accident, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Unit Commander for Ore, Sikiru Alonge said the incident had caused traffic gridlock along the route.
Alonge confirmed that all eleven persons were burnt beyond recognition.
“The Fire has been extinguished, while the traffic is being controlled on the Benin/Lagos Lane.
“Efforts are in top gear with other security agencies to remove crashed vehicles from the road,” Alonge said.
The Ondo Sector Commander of the FRSC, Ezekiel Son’Allah also confirmed the incident.
He said the accident was caused by excessive speeding on the part of the drivers involved.
