In his first Democracy Day speech on June 12, President Bola Tinubu gave a stirring speech in which he praised the heroes of Nigeria’s democratic struggle and laid out his goals for the future of the oil-rich nation.
The President expressed sympathy for Nigerians over the recent elimination of fuel subsidies.
But did not end his speech without a promise.
According to him, he will make large investments in crucial industries to raise the standard of living for the populace.
President Tinubu also emphasised the value of democracy, the need to safeguard democratic institutions, and the pursuit of social and economic justice while focusing on the sacrifices made by late MKO Abiola, Pa Alfred Rewane, Major General Shehu Mus’a Yar’Adua, and Kudirat Abiola.
