Per Rudy Galetti, De Bruyne has reached a verbal agreement with Al-Ittihad ahead of a potential summer move.

The Saudi club sent a delegation to speak with the Belgium international but they are yet to open talks with Manchester City.

City are said to be willing to let De Bruyne go this summer provided they receive an acceptable bid, although it is as yet unclear what their valuation of the Belgian is.

The 33-year-old’s contract at the Etihad Stadium runs until 2025, so the Premier League champions may be minded to cash in given the chance.

The veteran midfielder has enjoyed a staggeringly successful spell at City since arriving in 2015.

He has won the Premier League title six times, the League Cup five times, the FA Cup twice and the Champions League, in addition to the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

If Ittihad are serious about signing De Bruyne, they will have to come to an agreement with City.

The midfielder remained a key presence in 2023/24, making 26 appearances and scoring six goals, while providing 18 assists.
