On Saturday, September 21, 2024, Davido, took to his X account to express his frustration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over their handling of the ongoing Edo gubernatorial election.
In a candid post, Davido explained why he’s invested in the election, sharing that his connection to Edo stems from his mother, who hails from the state.
“For those wondering why I’m interested in the election, my mom is from Edo,” he revealed.
He didn’t stop there, calling out INEC for their performance. Reflecting on his experience during the Osun election, where he had to repeatedly voice his concerns before things improved, Davido didn’t hold back.
“Shame on you, INEC. I know how many times I had to come here and rant before they got it right in Osun.”
“It’s really bad. God help us,” he added, clearly frustrated by the ongoing challenges in the election process.
