Last year, prior to his birthday, Davido announced his intention to donate N300 million to orphanages and charity homes that help young people avoid drug abuse and addiction.
Many were skeptical about his promise, but he has now made good on his word.
On November 18th, Davido took to X to share his plans with his fans, stating that he would release more details soon.
His post read, “Once again, my birthday this year, we’re donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year, it’s N300m. Details to follow soon.”
Davido provided an update on his foundation’s efforts, revealing that they were able to support over 500 motherless babies’ homes this year.
He expressed his commitment to continuing this philanthropic work, stating, “My foundation was able to help over 500 motherless babies’ homes this year… we’ll do it again next year!”
