According to him, his parents didn’t see the need for him to work hard because of his wealthy background.

During an interview with Real 92.3FM, the “unavailable” crooner shared how people love to hear grass to grace stories.
”People love to hear how you were down bad then you came up, I’ve never been down bad, I come from a very wealthy background.”
Davido’s statement is something different from the norm, as there is a common trend of successful Nigerians trying to identify with their audience by sharing grass to grace stories.
This is quite understandable as the intentions may be to motivate and inspire those who look up to them.
However, when the facts and figures presented contradicts what they say, it could be a huge turn off from their audience.
In an interview with TVC, Nigerian chef and Guinness World Records breaker, Hilda Baci revealed that she was homeless at some point.
Different reactions trolled her online as some said it cannot be true as she attended a private university and lives a luxurious lifestyle.

On Monday, Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwoolu, while applauding Aliko Dangote on the successful completion of Dangote Refinery shared a grass to grace story too.
While giving a speech, Sanwo-Olu made it known that Aliko Dangote who came into Lagos with nothing 45 years ago had been able to build a mega infrastructure in Africa.
