Following the rising number of patients with Coronavirus code-named COVID-19, there is need for Nigerians to be more concerned as fresh indications have emerged that over 730 persons from high-risk countries enter Nigeria daily.
The Lagos State Director of Epidemiology, Biosecurity and Global Health, Dr. Ismail Abdul-Salam made this disclosure in Lagos.

He raised alarm over the influx of people from high-risk countries entering Nigeria.
While speaking during a training lecture on infection, prevention and control in the epidemic for Healthcare Providers Association of Nigeria, he said “Daily, not less than 38,000 people came into the country through the port, while 730 of this number are from coronavirus high-risk countries.”
He stated that this development poses a greater risk to the safety and containment of likely Coronavirus outbreak.
