Comparing Boniface’s Present Salary With Al-Nassr’s

According to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Al Nassr has made a bid in the vicinity of €60 million for Boniface, with a deal looking increasingly likely.

The forward missed Leverkusen’s training session ahead of their upcoming UEFA Champions League match, sparking rumors that he is undergoing a medical with the Saudi club.

One of the most captivating aspects of this potential transfer is the sizable salary Boniface stands to earn, estimated at around €15 million annually in Riyadh.

Reports

This leads to an intriguing comparison: how does this proposed salary stack up against his current earnings at Bayer Leverkusen?

Reports indicate that following a recent contract extension, Boniface’s new deal at Leverkusen sees him earning €6 million per year, up from €3 million after his transfer from Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023.

Even with this increase, Boniface’s new salary pales in comparison to the lucrative offer from Al Nassr, which would make him the highest-paid Nigerian footballer in recent times, surpassing Victor Osimhen’s reported €12.8 million salary at Napoli for the 2022/23 season.

While Boniface is reportedly considering the move, the situation remains complicated for Bayer Leverkusen, who are reluctant to let go of their star striker as they maintain their pursuit of the Bundesliga title.

In another development, Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso, provided an update regarding Boniface’s injury.

The forward underwent surgery after sustaining an injury during the final qualification match for the 2025 AFCON against Rwanda.
