Cassie, the estranged girlfriend of the famous American rapper and music executive Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has accused him of rape and a decade-long history of physical abuse.
The singer, who was formerly signed to Diddy’s record label, filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan, alleging that he plied her with drugs, physically assaulted her, and forced her to engage in sexual encounters with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the incidents.
The suit additionally claims that in 2018, near the end of their relationship, Diddy forced his way into her home and raped her.
However, Diddy’s counsel, Ben Brafman, stated that the rapper “vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.”
Brafman revealed that Cassie had previously demanded $30 million from his client as a bribe to prevent her from writing a book about their relationship, an offer that was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.
He said despite withdrawing her initial threat, “Cassie has now chosen to pursue a lawsuit filled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
