Football fans across Africa can start counting down as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released the full match schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The highly anticipated tournament will be held in Morocco, with matches spread across six cities and nine stadiums.
Morocco, the host nation, will open the competition in style. On December 21, the Atlas Lions will take on Comoros at the brand-new Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
The stadium, with a capacity of 69,500, is set to witness an electric atmosphere as the tournament kicks off.
Rabat, the capital of Morocco, will be the heart of the competition, hosting four match venues. Meanwhile, Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier will each welcome football fans to one venue.
As the tournament progresses, the excitement will build, with quarter-final matches set to take place in Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir.
Rabat and Tangier will host the semi-final matches, while Casablanca’s famous Stade Mohammed V will stage the third-place playoff.
The tournament will feature 52 thrilling matches, with the best teams on the continent battling for glory.
