CAC, Abuja Enterprise Agency collaborate to boost informal businesses

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Abuja Enterprise Agency have reinvigorated their collaboration.

Their collaboration is aimed at formalising more informal businesses in the country.

Corporate Affairs Commission is a body of the Nigerian Government responsible for the regulation and management of companies in Nigeria.

It was introduced in 1990 with the passing of the Companies and Allied Matters Act.

According to a statement by Mr Rasheed Mahe, CAC’s  Head, Media Unit, on Monday, an open day business exhibition tagged “360 Degrees Exhibition for SMEs” was held at the premises of Abuja Enterprise Agency.

He stated that the exhibition afforded the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to showcase their products and services as well as formalise their businesses by way of registering with the CAC.

He added that no fewer than seven SMEs registered their businesses on the spot while others received guidance on how to formalise their businesses.

Meanwhile, the Registrar General of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, has expressed commitment to collaborate with sister government agencies to ensure growth and development of the SMEs in the country.
