Burna Boy has has earned a new RIAA certification. According to Chart Data, his single “Alone” has sold over 500,000 units in the United States, solidifying its place as one of the standout tracks from the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack album.
The song has garnered an impressive 164 million Spotify streams, making it the second most streamed song of the Wakanda soundtrack behind Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up”
“Alone” is part of a compilation album that features guest appearances from Rema and Fireboy.
The song received a nomination for Best Global Song Performance at the 2023 Grammys.
This RIAA certification is Burna Boy’s sixth overall and fourth solo plaque. The singer is nominated at the 17th Headies for the best recording of the year and Best live performance.
Burna Boy is preparing for a busy 2025 as he gets ready to release his eighth album, No Sign of Weakness.
He has already dropped two singles ahead of the album—“Higher”, which earned a nomination for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Grammys, and “Bundle By Bundle”, which came out in December 2024.
Burna Boy has been making waves in the music industry, recently becoming the first Nigerian artiste to cover Billboard France Magazine.
He has also achieved the impressive feat of being the first Nigerian artiste to have three albums surpass 500 million Spotify streams.
