Following the rapid spread of coronavirus in Nigeria, Mobile Telephone Network, MTN, has on Sunday, instructed its workers to work from home.
Disclosing this on its official twitter handle, the giant network opined “We have implemented precautionary measures in our facilities nationwide and suspended all non-critical business meetings, travels and events.
“From Monday 23rd March 2020, most of our employees will begin working from home. Please be assured that our operations will continue running at full scale with essential staff working limited hours on-site”.

Recall that Nigeria as at today has confirmed a total of 30 cases. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, emphasized that “Three new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Lagos, Nigeria. Two cases are returning travellers and one is a contact of a confirmed case.
As of 05:28 pm on the 22nd of March, there are 30 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria. Two have been discharged with no deaths.
