Jude Bellingham made fun of Jamie Carragher’s fashion sense following Real Madrid’s Champions League round of 16 win against RB Leipzig.
Bellingham contributed significantly yet again as Madrid trudged to a 2-1 aggregate victory over RB Leipzig, after a 1-1 draw in the Spanish capital on Wednesday.
Following the match, Bellingham spoke to CBS Sports’ Guillem Balague, who told the Englishman that he receives a lot of stick for his suits from Carragher, but Bellingham was quick to jump to his defence.
Upon hearing Balague’s account of Carragher mocking his style, Bellingham appeared on CBS Sports and said: “I think you look brilliant tonight, mate”.
The midfielder then turned his attention to Carragher.
“I’ve seen some of the suits that Jamie wears, I’m not too sure,” he said.
“I think you can give him a bit of stick back.”
Carragher burst out laughing in the studio, before saying: “Honestly, he’s brilliant.
“He’s unbelievable, isn’t he?”
After leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the 20-year-old has adapted to his new team very quickly and established himself as one of the most clinical players in Europe.
Bellingham, who is thriving in a more advanced role for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, has scored 20 goals in 31 games for Madrid this season.

The Englishman will not be back in action anytime soon, as he has been suspended for Real Madrid’s next two league games after receiving a straight red card for dissent in the 2-2 draw with Valencia.
He will return for the club on March 31 when they take on Athletic Club in the league.
